The advantages of this are that you get fewer scars with this method and that the recovery time can be shorter. This is a good method for some guys who want 'touch-ups' because they lose their hair over time.

The disadvantage is that this is usually more expensive because it is more labor intensive and you cannot do as many hair transplants per session.

# 3 Scar Revisions and / or Transplant Revision

This is for boys who have had bad results with a previous transplant and want to repair it. Because nowadays new methods are used (smaller, finer hairs are harvested and transplanted), surgeons can update and repair a poor transplant or hairline that was not good enough years ago.

Some boys also have a big scar of an FUT operation. But now they want to wear their hair very briefly - so they want to hide the scar as much as possible. This method usually involves transplanting hairs into the scar line to camouflage the scar line (hair does not grow in the scar line - which is why it is visible).
